Blair Atholl - 8 November 2003

One of the closer areas to Dundee, Blair Atholl still has good walking. The ridge of Beinn a' Ghlo is much recommended, with views of the Cairngorms. Also in the area are the Munros of Beinn Dearg and Chairn a' Chlamain. Glen Tilt provides a good low- level walk, which you can make as long as you want. If you want some of the best long-range views in Scotland though, Ben Vrackie is well worth climbing. There is a good path all the way up as well, so it is an ideal first mountain.

Landranger sheet 43 is suggested.
