Glen Coe - 12 October 2003

One of the finest glens in the Highlands. Even on the drive down to its foot, you will be impressed by the sheer cliffs of Buchaille Etive Mor and the majestic buttresses of the Three Sisters. There is plenty of opportunity here to do some of the best walks and scrambles in the country. Try Bidean nam Bian, highest mountain in the old county of Argyll, or traverse the Anoach Eagach ridge (a head for heights and some scrambling ability required!). For a more leisurely day, climb the Pap of Glencoe for spectacular coastal views, or walk along the old roman road in the glen. Also loads of rock climbing possible.
